Professor Ivan Deutsch elected Fellow of the American Physical Society
December 1, 2005
Ivan Deutsch has just been elected as a Fellow of the APS, American Physical Society!
Each year no more than one-half of one percent of the then current membership of the APS are recognized by their peers for election to the status of Fellow. Election to APS Fellowship is recognition by their peers of their outstanding contributions to physics.
In Ivan's case it was upon recommendation of the Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, with his citation reading "For fundamental contributions to the theory of optical lattices and quantum logic using neutral atoms."
