Physics

In addition to the prerequisite coursework (see Courses Offered), the two courses PHYC 2415, MATH 316; three courses chosen from PHYC 301, 302, 302L or 307L, 303, 304, 330, 405, 406.

Astrophysics

  • Complete all of the following:
  • Complete the following:
    • ASTR2110- General Astronomy I (3)
    • PHYS2415- Computational Physics (3)
    • PHYS330- Introduction to Modern Physics (3)
    • MATH316- Applied Ordinary Differential Equations (3)
  • Earn at least 3 credits from the following types of courses:

ASTR 3XX-4XX, or PHYS 3XX-4XX (at least 3 credit hours) with astrophysics related content (examples include, but are not limited to, "ASTR 421: Concepts of Astrophysics I" and "PHYS 480/581: High Energy Astrophysics"). Problem classes and research hours are excluded.
