We welcome our new faculty members Assistant Professor Niklas Mueller, who began in January of this year, as well as Assistant Professor Francisco Salces Carcoba and Associate Professor Denis Seletskiy, who arrived in August.
Niklas Mueller
Bridging the gap between nuclear physics and quantum information science, his research involves collaborating with university, national lab and industry partners to co-design and develop quantum hardware and algorithms and exploring fundamental physics problems.
Francisco Salces Carcoba
His research is in the area of experimental physics of coherent light and matter waves including laser interferometer gravitational-wave detector instrumentation, ultracold quantum gases for quantum simulation, and cold-atom based quantum sensors.
Denis Seletskiy
He focuses on developing novel photonics tools and applying them to study quantumness of interacting light and matter toward real world high-technology applications. His other research interests include laser cooling of solids, nonlinear optics, nanophotonics and the development of new tools for optical precision metrology.
