The Department of Physics and Astronomy is proud to announce that Douglas Fields has been promoted to Full Professor.

He has worked at the University of New Mexico since 1995. His research focuses on high energy-density nuclear physics, high-energy spin physics, collider instrumentation, and physics education.

Congratulations to Doug on this well-deserved promotion. We wish him a long and successful career in our department.
