Neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ) is a hypothetical nuclear process that, if observed, would confirm the Majorana nature of neutrinos and provide insights into lepton number violation and the absolute neutrino mass scale. The detection of this rare event requires highly sensitive experiments with excellent energy resolution and ultra-low background environments. Bolometric detectors, operating at cryogenic temperatures, have emerged as a promising technique for 0νββ searches due to their superior energy resolution and scalability. These detectors utilize cryogenic calorimeters that measure the total energy deposition from decay events with high precision. The INdia-based 124TIN (TIN.TIN) detector aims to study the 0νββ in the isotope 124Sn using an array of cryogenic tin bolometers. Although theory predicts the excellent intrinsic resolution for bolometer, various extraneous factors (like vibrational noise, electronics noise, micro-phonics, thermal links etc.) limit its energy resolution. In my talk, I will be discussing a few of these issues and my efforts to quantify and mitigate them.
