Abstract: | Interferometric lithography (IL) is a powerful technique for producing large-area nanoscale features. At CHTM, we have used IL for a wide variety of projects ranging from nanoscale crystal growth to plasmonics to nanofluidics. Recent results in both plasmonics for enhancement of infrared detectors and nanofluidics with applications to DNA sequencing will be reviewed. A new start-up company, Armonica Technologies, Inc. has recently received venture funding for the DNA sequencing application. Some of the lessons learned in bringing technology to venture will be discussed. | |
