The baryon-dark matter coincidence puzzle

Tuesday September 29, 2015
2:00 pm

 Presenter:  Rouzbeh Allahverdi, UNM
Series:  Nuclear, Particle, Astroparticle and Cosmology (NUPAC) Seminars
Abstract:  Dark matter and matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe are two prominent problems at the interface of cosmology and particle physics. Observational data indicate that the baryon and dark matter energy densities are on the same order of magnitude. In this talk, I discuss scenarios that try to address this 'coincidence" by relating the dark matter and baryon relic abundances to the same source.
 Host:  Rouzbeh Allahverdi
 Location:  PAIS-2540, PAIS
