Lattice calculations of beyond-standard-model candidate theories (Special Seminar)

Thursday September 25, 2014
4:00 pm

Presenter:  Thomas DeGrand (University of Colorado)
Series:  Nuclear, Particle, Astroparticle and Cosmology (NUPAC) Seminars
Abstract:  Over the last few years, lattice techniques have been applied to a wide variety of physical systems which are candidates for new physics beyond the Standard Model. This is a large, emerging, but not too coherent area of research. I will try to explain what the interesting questions are, and give a few examples of models that have been studied.
 Host:  Kevin Cahill
 Location:  PAIS-1140, PAIS
