First UNM Physics and Astronomy Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program Participants

Eight undergraduates have come from all over the country to participate in the National Science Foundation-sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in the Physics and Astronomy Department at UNM. This is the first year of our REU program. They are here for ten weeks and they'll be gaining valuable research experience, each working with a faculty member in the department on a range of subjects ranging from biophysics to radio astronomy. They'll also be giving presentations on their research, hearing about different career paths in physics and astronomy, and enjoying educational and social outings.
