Zundel wins Graduate Fellowship Award

Undergraduate Lauren Zundel

Congratulations to physics major Lauren Zundel, who has been awarded a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship, administered through the Krell Institute.

This is a full, four-year fellowship that she will use to pursue graduate research with Prof. Alejandro Manjavacas in our department.

Lauren writes “I will be continuing the work I have done during my undergrad in describing the interactions between light and matter having dimensions smaller than its wavelength”.

Lauren was also recognized by the New Mexico State Legislature in February for her outstanding contributions to New Mexico
