Ivan Deutsch Appointed as CQuIC Director

Effective July 1, 2018, Regents’ Professor Ivan Deutsch will serve as the next Director of the Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC). Professor Deutsch has been a long-standing senior faculty member and one of the founders of CQuIC, an interdisciplinary center that is recognized by colleagues world-wide. He will work to continue the growth of CQuIC as a research center in quantum information at the University of New Mexico and with its partner institutions, and to foster the collaborative efforts across the CQuIC community.

Distinguished Professor, Carlton Caves is retiring from his role as the founding CQuIC Director as of June 30, 2018. Professor Caves will continue as a member of CQuIC and will be a full and active participant in its research endeavors.
