V.M. Kenkre and Satomi Sugaya's paper featured in World Biomedical Frontiers

Satomi Sugaya's recent paper, Theory of the Transmission of Infection in the Spread of Epidemics: Interacting Random Walkers with and Without Confinement, written in collaboration with her thesis advisor V. M. Kenkre and published in Bulletin of Mathematical Biology, has been selected to be featured in the coming issue of World Biomedial Frontiers, "because of its innovation and potential for significant impact".

Their work is founded in non-equilibrium statistical mechanics and has resulted in a theory of how epidemics spread.
