The Departmental Computer Policy outlines many important departmental policies including Computer Security, The University Computer Use Policy, General Computer Availability, and Computer Backups.
The department runs a web based Help Desk. If you are having a computer related problem, have a computer related question, or need any type of computer support, please fill out a Help Desk ticket.
ITS supports the wireless network within our building as a separate virtual network. For information on connecting to the wireless network, please view IT's Wireless Network Connection Instructions.
If you’re using an e-mail program other than Webmail to access your e-mail, you may need to make some minor modifications to allow authentication. For information on making the modifications, please view IT's Modifying Your E-mail Program to Work With Your NetID Account.
The IT department provides web site space, free of charge, to individuals with a UNM NetID. For information, please view IT's Web Hosting Instructions.
IT manages computer pods (or labs) and computer classrooms around main campus. All are open to all UNM students, faculty and staff. All locations are equipped with different hardware and software and have their own hours. Your Lobo ID is required to print in IT pods and classrooms. Pods are staffed by Student Consultants who are trained to answer general computing questions.For information, please view IT's Computer Pods page.
Fill out the Request for an IP Address form before connecting a newly acquired computer into an internet port. For security reasons, we must make sure that your computer is properly registered. Fill out a Help Desk ticket if you move a computer from one port to another.
