Distinguished Professor Mansoor Sheik-Bahae Memorial

We would like to invite you to a special event on Saturday, Sept 30, to honor the legacy of Distinguished Professor Mansoor Sheik-Bahae, who passed away from lymphoma on July 10.
There will be talks from 2:30pm to 4:30pm in PAIS 1100, followed by a reception.
We are inviting some of Mansoor's major collaborators and former graduate students to deliver their remarks on Mansoor's scientific legacy and their memories of him. Many of Mansoor's family and friends will also be present.

We are also creating a new student award to be named after Mansoor. This will be given to a student in the department in either the Physics or OSE PhD programs for the best dissertation in optics. If you would like to donate to this fund, please scan or click on the second QR code on the flyer.
