Special Topics in Particle Physics

Presented by Dr. Terry Goldman (UNM)

This is the first meeting of the weekly seminar series on Special Topics in Particle Physics. Dr. Goldman will speak about the origin and development of the gauge invariance principle and its evolution from Maxwell electrodynamics through Einstein to quantum field theory. He will discuss with the awkward conundrum between conventional notation and the more `natural' formulation in terms of Lorentz group representations.
