High precision tests of Standard Model in B-physics measurements in p-p collisions of LHC and HL-LHC in ATLAS.

Presented by Maria Smizanska, CERN

Proton-proton collision data at the Large Hadron Collider collected by ATLAS collaboration in years 2012-2018, are used to search for possible tensions with Standard Model (SM) in decays of Beauty Hadrons. Details will be given for two "golden" channels of Bs meson. Firstly, a high-precision search for inconsistencies with SM in decay parameters of Bs → J/𝜓𝜑 and secondly, a test of SM by measuring decay probabilities of two very rare Bs → μ+μ− and Bd → μ+μ− decays. The world -combined results are compared to SM calculations. All LHC experiments are preparing to follow this research at new High-Luminosity LHC, that will start operating in 2027. ATLAS prospects based on full simulations of the two channels will be presented.
