Photonic circuit for loss correction using Chi-2 bulk nonlinearities (and a new master equation)

I'll first briefly discuss a new, simple Lindblad master equation that handles weakly damped systems for all detunings between transitions. This fills the gap between the degenerate and non-degenerae master equations. Most of the talk will be devoted to a recent circuit that uses bulk Chi-2 nonlinearities to perform quantum error correction for photon loss using a two-mode bosonic code.
