Searching for New Physics with the XENON1T/nT Experiment at Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory

The deep underground laboratory provides a low background environment to search for rare events relevant to new fundamental physics laws. In the last few years, the XENON1T experiment searched for WIMP dark matter, solar axion, solar neutrinos, and other rare decays using its 2-tonne liquid xenon target, achieving unprecedented sensitivity. So far it places the most stringent limits on WIMP dark matter across a large mass range. The recently observed excess of low energy electronic recoil events triggered community investigation of new physics such as solar axion, large neutrino magnetic moment and other exotic dark matter candidates. The XENONnT detector, currently under commissioning, will use 6-tonne of target with even lower background to further improve the sensitivity to these new physics in the next five years. I will first introduce the XENON experiment, then focus on the recent new results from XENON1T, and give an update on the status of XENONnT.
