Music of the Spheres
Presented by Astrophysicist and New Mexico Bach Society vocalist Dr. Patricia Henning
Dr. Henning and her students have discovered more than 1,000 new galaxies in the course of their work. Together with Franz Vote and in conjunction with the Santa Fe Institute's "Second Annual InterPlanetary Festival", New Mexico Performing Arts Society offers a program that combines Johann Sebastian Bach's "Art of the Fugue" and other "universal" musical works of art with slides of newly discovered galaxies and artworks by Santa Fe multi-media and fabric artist Joyce Melander-Smith.
