Stimulated Neutrino Flavor Conversions and Rabi Oscillations

Neutrinos convert from one flavor to another flavor in a vacuum which is called neutrino oscillations. Neutrino oscillations are crucial to particle physics theories and many other physics such as supernova explosions. However, neutrino oscillations in many astrophysical environments are complicated due to the interactions with matter. People have found that neutrino oscillations might be stimulated by matter and show large flavor conversions when neutrinos travel in dense medium.

I'll first present the basics of neutrino oscillations in the vacuum and in dense medium, as well as neutrino oscillations stimulated by periodic matter density variations and interpret them as Rabi oscillations. I also plan to talk about Rabi systems with multiple driving frequencies.
