Probing Dark Matter Annihilation to Right-handed Neutrinos

Presented by Rouzbeh Allahverdi, UNM

I will discuss indirect detection signals from annihilation of dark matter (DM) particles inside the Sun into right-handed (RH) neutrinos. I will particularly focus on RH neutrinos with an O(GeV) mass, which have a sufficiently long lifetime to leave the Sun before decaying. The photon and neutrino signals form these delayed decays can constrain the spin-independent DM-nucleon elastic scattering cross section better than direct detection experiments.
