Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics and Optics

Presented by Professor Arash Mafi, Physics and Astronomy, University of New Mexico

I will talk about supersymmetric quantum mechanics and its applications in optics at an elementary level. The discussion involves constructing the appropriate mathematical formalism and deciding what can and cannot be extended to optics. You are going to see some (plenty) algebra on my slides so make sure to drink enough coffee! The mathematics and algebra used in the presentation are at the level of undergraduate quantum mechanics. Non-optics audience may also find the talk useful.
