Center for Astrophysics Research and Technologies Seminar Series

Random Walks

Presented by Katie Richardson (MH)

Career paths are never straightforward. In this seminar, I will talk about alternative careers in science for undergraduate and graduate students, the importance of effective communication, and how I ended up being happiest doing government work as a Ph.D. in particle physics. I will also discuss science funding and address the pressing need for scientists to engage in public policy. Students are especially encouraged to attend and ask questions. Katie Richardson is a field representative for U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and a PandA alumna.
