Overview of the APS Division of Nuclear Physics: 2014 Long-range plan Joint Town Meetings on QCD

Presented by Douglas Fields (UNM)

I will present an overview of the recent Town Meeting of the APS Division of Nuclear Physics for the Long Range Plan. The presentations were wide ranging, and covered fields from hadronic spin physics to the nuclear equation of state. This will be a discussion, rather than a talk given by an expert, since much of the material presented is well outside my area of expertise, but I hope to convey the successes, challenges and future of the field of nuclear physics.
