Effective Masses in a Dense Background of Neutral Fermions-----applied to neutrinos, dark matter and dark energy

Presented by Gerard Stephenson (UNM)

On February 13th at the International Conference on Flavor Physics and Mass Generation in Singapore, organized by Harald Fritzsch, Bruce McKellar of Melbourne gave a talk with this title based on work done over many years in collaboration with, among others, Terry Goldman, Paul Alsing and me. He kindly sent me his slides with I shall share in the NUPAC seminar. The basic formulation was developed years ago by Walecka and his colleagues for the study of nuclei, and, with appropriate parameter changes, may be applied to the three areas mentioned in the title.
