Probing Dark Matter Annihilation to Primary Neutrinos with IceCube

Neutrino telescopes like IceCube can detect neutrinos that are produced from annihilation of dark matter particles. While annihilation to primary neutrinos is suppressed in the simplest models of supersymmetric dark matter, it can be dominant in important classes of models beyond this paradigm.

In this talk, I discuss the prospects for discovery of dark matter annihilation to primary neutrinos at IceCube. In particular, I report on our recent investigation to obtain sensitivity limits for the primary neutrino final states, and their implications for some well-motivated models.
