Quantum information with an array of Rydberg Atoms

Presented by Mark Saffman, University of Wisconsin - Madison

Highly excited atomic Rydberg states provide strong, long range interactions which can be used to create entanglement between atoms, and between atoms and photons. I will present recent progress and prospects for multi-qubit quantum logic and quantum simulation using both coherent and dissipative Rydberg state mediated dynamics
