Abstract: | The last decades have firmly established the existence of a dark sector of our universe. Yet, details of its particle content have thus far evaded all laboratory probes. In this talk I will describe how the cosmic-dawn era, during which the first galaxies formed, holds a wealth of complementary information about dark matter and other new physics. The next decade will see detailed maps of this era with both 21-cm and space telescopes. I will explain how to use the upcoming data to test the particle nature of dark matter by measuring its clustering at smaller scale and earlier times than ever before. I will also describe what the high-z galaxies measured by Hubble, and the new candidates detected by James Webb, can tell us about dark matter and inflation. | |
