Abstract: | Atomic quantum processors typically employ 2 internal states of each ion for quantum information storage and processing, effectively ignoring a plethora of potentially useful atomic states that come free with each atom. This is a waste of (Hilbert) space. I'll discuss some ideas for using these states to overcome technical limitations in these systems, including processing with multiple qubits per atom | |
