| Abstract: | Internet has developed for more than 30 years with huge growth rates and deeply changed our way of life. The physical foundation of Internet is the optical transport network (OTN). Based on his many-year R&D and innovation experience at Verizon, a telecom giant, the speaker will give an overview of global OTNs. The presentation will focus on key enabling technologies introduced to OTN in past ten years and on an outlook of hot R&D topics for OTN in near future. | |
