Quantum Matter Built from Nanoscopic Lattices of Atoms and Photons

Friday May 4, 2018
3:30 pm

 Presenter:  H. Jeff Kimble, Caltech
 Series:  Physics and Astronomy Colloquium
Abstract:  Emerging opportunities for explorations of novel quantum phenomena are made possible by advances in nanophotonic device fabrication and integration of these devices with ultracold atoms. The research is inherently multidisciplinary, spanning across nanophotonics, atomic physics, quantum optics, and condensed matter physics.
 Host:  Carlton Caves
Location:  Room 125, Dane Smith Hall

Refreshments will be available before the colloquium, at 03:15 pm, in in the lobby of Dane Smith Hall.
