Lattice Calculations of Beyond-Standard-Model Candidate Theories

Thursday September 25, 2014
4:00 pm

Presenter:  Professor Thomas DeGrand, Department of Physics, University of Colorado
 Series:  Computational Physics Seminar
Abstract:  Over the last few years lattice techniques have been applied to a wide variety of physical systems which are candidates for new physics beyond the Standard Model. This is a large, emerging, but not too coherent area of research. I will try to explain what the interesting questions are and give a few examples of models that have been studied.
 Host:  Kevin Cahill
 Location:  PAIS-1140, PAIS
