Demonstrates: Resolution of forces on a horizontal boom.
Description: A fixed boom with a hanging mass is supported by a rope at a given angle. The tension on the supporting rope is measured with a spring scale.

Instructions: Hang as shown in schematic. Form a 30, 60, 90 triangle for ease of math. Refer to Giancoli fig 9-10 p.232 6th Edition

Items Used: Use 1 meter aluminium rod (m=1kg), 1 kg mass to suspend, 40 N spring scale, rope
