Department maintenance issues:

MOST IMPORTANT: If you have any equipment malfunctioning of any kind, (Phones, water, lighting, network, desk drawers, doors, windows, computer, ANYTHING!) please notify either the General Services Assistant (277-8671) or myself. We cannot get it fixed, if we don't know it's broke!!!!!!!

ALMOST AS IMPORTANT: If you report ANY item malfunctioning to anyone other than me (Elliott Bailey), please send me an e-mail so that we can follow-up on it and verify that action has been, or will be, taken to make the repairs. In the e-mail let me know what you reported, when you reported it, who you reported it to, and what you were told.

Who to call:

Locks, keys sticking or hard to operate call the General Services Assistant or Elliott's Helpers at 7-8671

Locks, key broken off PPD Dispatcher 7-3391 and PPD Lock Shop 7-1062
            NOTE: You cannot get your key replaced later without the $25.00 lost key fee, if you do not have BOTH Pieces of the key. Be sure you wait for the lock shop to come and extract your broken off piece so they can return it to you, or that they have your name to apply credit for the piece to you. Notify me, also, as sometimes I can extract your broken piece from the lock if it hasn't been pushed into the lock by someone else's attempt to use their key.

For all other building and grounds maintenance and Custodial Services. contact me (Elliott) and I will forward your job to PPD and will follow up on it as best I can to see that it gets completed. If you do not see any attempts or progress toward completion within a day or two, please notify me so I might follow up on the job. If I am not available, and my assistant the General Services Assistant (7-8671) cannot help you, call the PPD Dispatcher at 7-3391 and then send me an e-mail that you have done so. Include the information from the ALMOST AS IMPORTANT section above, so that I might follow up upon my return.

For Novell Network, or GroupWise E-mail, problems, you must contact me directly. Check the small sign to the right of my office door. If there is no tag hanging on it, use the phone. If there is a tag hanging on it, please try to reach me according to the tag first. Please call me, even if I am on vacation. I carry my cell phone even on vacation, and try to have it active during any working hours, and it also has voice mail. All of my phone numbers are listed for this purpose below. If you do not call me, please do not complain if I can't get to fixing your problem immediately when I do return to work.

For WEB ralated issues on the Microsoft NT WEB Server, please contact Tom Hess or myself. For WEB Server malfunctions, contact me, and if you cannot reach me at all the numbers above, and I do not reply to my voice mail on my cell phone within 2 or 3 hours, you may THEN contact Erasmo Garcia so he might attempt to locate me.
